I'm not sure if I understand what the problem is. O.o So, Petz 5 "won't play"? Exactly what happens? Can you install the game, open it, adopt petz? Exactly where does it go wrong? Have you tried installing the game outside Program Files?

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game?
If it's Petz 3 or 4 downloading PetzA will fix the problem with it freezing up when you try to adopt a pet (It's happened to me)
A pet might be causing the problem. Take out one at a time and try to open the game. If it still won't open, try a different pet. Do this with all of your petz.

if they're coming out in rectangles, maybe you need to reset your screen resulution.
personally, i have no idea how to do this, but you can google it...?

Petz 5 works fine on my computer and I have Windows 7, so I don't know what your problem is. It's probably screen resolution and if you installed it in Program Files, then that might also be a problem.

Yes i installed in there and it will not let me download textures or breedz im try to set resolution Smile

Try re-installing the game in another location, outside Program Files. It solves almost everything Vista does, not sure about 7, but better safe than sorry! If it works I think it should solve the 'unable to add textures and breeds to the game' problem.

As for your petz coming out in rectangles, that means the ballz are missing. I've seen a few people with it before and it turned out to be pretty hard to solve if I remember, and chances were that if you don't fix it in time, your petz will permanently look like that. :/ I keep forgetting what the solution was though, sorry! I think someone on AAP had it before so let's hope someone else remembers!
